Cranial Sacral Therapy

Crainiosacral Massage Therapy or Cranial Sacral Therapy is a pleasing and gentle mode of massage that focuses on the sacrum (triangular bone at the bottom of the spine), and the bones in the head and spinal column. These areas often are compressed and by careful massage the pain and stress associated with that compression is released and eliminated.

By the application of this therapy, the bones can be restored to their natural position and the stress that has developed from chronic injuries can be released along with relief from neck and back pain, migraine headaches, inflammation of the joint connecting the lower jaw to the skull (temporomandibular joint disorder) and other areas of concern.

In several published studies, it has been reported that over 27 million Americans suffer from migraine headaches. Some of this same research discovered that low levels of quality sleep and stress are significant contributors to this problem. Researchers identified Cranial Sacral Therapy provided participants with fewer and less intense migraines and a higher quality of sleep over subjects who had not received the treatments. Another useful finding was that these positive benefits from this treatment even lasted up to three weeks past the time when the therapy was concluded.

The head also has muscles on the scalp and a scalp massage for many people is very relaxing and drains away both physical as well as mental stress.. Like other modes of massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy can be combined with your regular massage session with a simple request to your therapist.  It is your massage.  Feel welcome to customize it to your personal preferences for your maximum stress relief, relaxation, and spiritual, mental and physical renewal.
